About us

First published in May 1979 as a joint venture by the churches in Thornbury, the Magazine has since gone from strength to strength and is now a private company limited by guarantee. It is entirely staffed by volunteers. The costs of printing are covered by advertising revenue. Volunteers collate each issue on the morning of the last Wednesday of each month at St Mary's Church Hall. Volunteers deliver the finished article to every one of the 6000 or so homes in the parish of Thornbury.

Advertising

Current advertsing rates are as follows:

  • 1/10 page £10 per month
  • 2/10 page £20 per month
  • 1/4 page £25 per month

Our terms are payment in advance with discounts of 5% for 6 months and 10% for 12 months. Single advertisments can only be offered in exceptional circumstances.

Please note that the demand for advertising space far exceeds supply. There is a waiting list and priority is given to businesses within Thornbury and the surrounding parishes.
